In the Store:  Ypsilanti Food Co-op shares your concerns about the environment. We care about reducing waste in our choice of products and packaging. Make a difference when you shop the Co-op!

• Shop our bulk department to reduce the packaging you take home; you may also opt to reuse your own containers.  
• Bring your own bag! YFC encourages all shoppers to use reusable bags. We offer a great selection of canvas totes, Chico bags, and locally-made bags for sale.  
• Forgot to bring your reusable bag? Never fear! We’ve got a bin at the cash register filled with reusable grocery bags of every shape and size.  We hope you will donate your extra bags to our Bag Lending Library!
• You can purchase products made from recycled paper, including recycled greeting cards and notebooks, bathroom & kitchen paper products, and more.
• Read our newsletter, the Ypsi Mix (available on 100% recycled paper in our store or here on our website), to stay informed on food and ecology issues in our community.  You can read the Ypsi Mix in PDF format online to reduce paper waste.  (Or read the Ypsi Mix in the store while savoring today’s hot soup and return it to the rack afterward.)  

In the Community:  Ypsi Food Coop supports local and national efforts to reduce waste, to recycle, and to protect our environment. We do our best to eliminate packaging waste in our deli and bakery packaging.
